Synergis Management Services Limited (Stock Code 02340) ("Synergis") has been dedicated to providing excellent management services to its clients and also contributing to the society by giving hands to those who are in needs simultaneously. Recently, Synergis and ‘The Hong Kong Society for the Deaf’ jointly organized a hearing protection program for provision of preliminary audiological assessment to its residents and delivering the message of helping hearing impaired persons.

Aiming to raise the awareness of hearing loss and educate residents for hearing protection, participants can realize their hearing loss level at an early stage through the program and then search for appropriate hearing aids if necessary. Program activities include preliminary audiological assessment, middle-ear testing, exhibition board and booth display.

Primary audiological assessment is carried out in th e mobile audiology centre parked temporarily in the residential area. The assessment, which takes about 10-15 minutes, can help the participants understand their hearing conditions initially. Besides, information of hearing loss and hearing aids are introduced through exhibition boards, booth display and mini games.

The program would be commenced on the residential buildings managed by Synergis in phases from mid of 2006 to end of 2007. The first phase has completed successfully in selected Tuen Mun and Tseung Kwan O residential communities, and received favourable responses from the residents. With aims to bring out the message of hearing protection and promote the well-beings of hearing impaired persons, these activities will spread out to other residential communities persistently.
