Besides our commitment to providing the best possible property and facility management services to customers, Synergis is a socially responsible company which has been dedicated to contributing to the society through running various charity activities to fulfill one of the company's core values, its Social Responsibility.

Synegis Momentum was set up in 1999 with the aim of helping elderly people living in estates under our management, through collaboration with The Incorporated Owners and residents associations.

We have run a variety of charity activities for the elderly for several years. These have included, for example, organizing festive visits to estates and charity organizations, and running programmes that provide minor household repairs and maintenance services.

Synergis not only cares for the living environment of residents in properties under our management, we also care for the living environment of others.

In addition to organising a wide array of green activities, Synergis has supported the World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong (WWF) by sponsoring staff participating in the WWF's Mai Po Charity Walk since 1999. Moreover, we also joined the WWF's Corporate Membership Programme as a Silver Member, helping raise funds for the WWF in 2005 and 2006. Recently, we have taken part in the '14th Green Power Hike ¡V Property Management Cup' to raise funds for implementing local green educational programme in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools as well.

In 2003 and 2004, Synergis participated in the Corporate & Employee Contribution Programme of The Community Chest of Hong Kong, helping to raise more than HK$280,000 for the organization. In the year of 2006, we joined the "Christmas Greetings for the Chest" and donated a total amount of HK$100,000 to help those who were in needs in the society.

To engage young people as volunteers in the community and create a caring force for social development, Synergis sponsored a "Heart to Heart School" to set up volunteer corps through joining the Heart to Heart Project organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and became a "Heart to Heart Company" of Year 2006 ¡V 2007. What's more, we made a joint donation $5 million to The School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) with Dr Geoffrey Yeh, Chairman of Hsin Chong International Holdings Ltd., to set up The Synergis-Geoffrey YEH Chair Professorship for enhancing the quality and quantity of their research and teaching activities.

To show our special care for the elderly during the SARS outbreak, we distributed a SARS Cleaning Pack containing diluted solution, cleaning towels and masks to those elderly people living alone in a number of the public housing estates under our management.
